The first was the hardest for me, and yet somehow the easiest. Once I had made the decision, after all, what was left but to carry it out? We followed the Fey Road until our worlds turned blue, and then let the procession carry on without us. An old logger's road took us some way into the forest, until I found a clearing big enough for the gold we carried - and the men I brought with me to guard it. I will not forget the looks on their faces when I killed them, but their blood and bones will protect that which is most important to me. More importantly, I am the only one left who knows its location. I buried it all - gold and bodies - beneath the high sun.
The second was easier. We returned to the clearing, but the trees where I had buried the first had taken on an odd shape, and leaked red blood when cut. A warning from that blighted fey, I fear - or perhaps something older and more dangerous. With the sun above us we continued along the silver river, until we were surrounded by stars.
The moon was so full and bright by the time that we stopped, and there I put my blade to use once more.
My third hoard has proven harder to conceal. Rumours have spread among my men, and I see the uneasy way that they look at me. But they are greedy beasts and I have promised them twice the pay for accompanying me: a shame they will not live to receive their coin. This time, we followed the fey road to its conclusion. There is an old temple to the Queen of Summer there, one that even the temple I built could not surpass, and even in its ruinous state it is a thing of beauty. The forest has long claimed the temple, and even the statues seem strange and twisted... Beneath the empty plinth I left my reward.
The time is coming soon to make a fourth trip; my vaults are heavy with coin and I do not wish to leave it here longer than I must. My men conspire against me, I am sure of it. I must find another location - and soon.
